Guadalmina is one of the most sought after areas for real estate on the Costa del Sol, nestled between Estepona and San Pedro de Alcántara. Although the urbanisation is almost a village in itself, Guadalmina still forms part of the Marbella municipality. Guadalmina is split into two areas, Guadalmina Alta, located in the mountains, and Guadalmina Baja, down by the sea. The two are divided by the main road on the coast, the A7.
Guadalmina is famous for being home to the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina, which is the second oldest golf course on the Costa del Sol. The golf course runs all the way down to the sea, and this has helped Guadalmina Baja maintain its high property prices as it is one of the most sought after residential areas, thanks to the 36-hole Real Club de Golf Guadalmina. Guadalmina Baja, due to its close proximity to the beach, is considered somewhat more upmarket than Guadalmina Alta.
The urbanisation has endless amenities, including a large supermarket, beauty salons, banks, boutique shops, bars, a grand variety of restaurants and much more. And of course, other than the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina, there are also many other golf courses in the area. The area has its own shopping centre, the Guadalmina Commercial Centre, where many of the amenities are housed. Guadalmina is also home to some of the best hotels on the Costa del Sol.
